Weight Loss Challenge

Hello People,

So I’ve been trying to get in shape for the past couple of years and no matter how hard I try … I fail. In fact not only that I fail, I actually end up gaining more weight! I realized that there was one big problem and it wasn’t the pain in my knees nor the ruptured calf muscle, it was ME! I have the most horrible eating habits in the world, everything I eat is either junk food or deep fried frozen products which are very bad for you. Sadly it only hits you when most of your clothes don’t fit and shopping for clothes becomes “mission impossible”. Yesterday I got the shock of my life when I weighed myself, I weigh 130 KG! NOT COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I decided that enough is enough and got myself a membership at Fitness First. I felt like an alcoholic who desperately needed professional help. Paul Hamblin, Fitness First’s head instructor advised I get my “Fitness Age analysis” done. It’s basically a fitness assessment program that tells you what your Fitness Age is. I took the test and guess what? I am 30 years old with a fitness age level of a 77 year old man -_- again NOT COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gill Hamblin, a personal trainer and a nutritionist at Fitness First is going to fix my eating habits. Every week I have to send her a report about everything I eat in detail through a food chart she has given me. Meaning, what I am eating, what time I eat it and what are the portions! YES I am that serious about it.

I start my training with Paul on 16th May 2011 & I will also be joining their group classes such as Body Pump, Spinning & body attack.

Now here comes the shocker, my first weight loss target is 20 KG BY 16th  JULY 2011!

You guys think I am going to make it? If I don’t I’ll be making a total ass out of myself since I’ve announced it to the world! I’ll be posting before and after pictures throughout my fitness journey.

    Well I managed to loose 14 Kgs in 2 months so your target isn’t really that far from mine so I believe with self discipline, its all possible (Possibility is a a grey area ;) )

    Well dude i took a mini test .. im 95KG .. not soo cool for me either .. I related to your article big time, today I started walking for 30 mins , 2mrw IN-SHA-LA, ill be going to a 50 mins … dude you will make it .. go for it

    Good luck, if u wanna it ull make it ! donty worry about the time.. just try to change ur life daily system and the eating habit, cuz it must stays for permanent period and not temporary.. if u wanna it, nothing will stop u ! i was able 2 lose 10 kilo in approx. one month ! but i did it with a bad system of eating which i had side effects on my health, but u have chosen the right path..

    Very reachable target… Plenty of water, eating a light dinner nice and early and a good 8 hours of sleep.. Plus a bit of exercise will def help… Good luck bro…

    Best of luck! I trained with Gill in Bahrain and she was excellent! Once you start losing weight, you won’t want to stop, trust me!
